Kindergarten

Today Tchou Tchou Kindergarten is organized into five classes: two Early Years I, two Early Years II and one Pre-Primary class. Early Years I & II provide classes in either, French or bilingual French/English. Pre-primary class is French speaking.

The activities offered to the children aim to develop their independence, knowledge and skills, which are the basics for entering Primary School.

The main aim in Kindergarten is to develop good oral communication skills: progressively, children learn to express themselves and to speak together. Games, research activities, guided and free play, all contribute to stimulate the children and to set the foundations of their own personality.

In class, the children are expected to become increasingly independent as they learn to act responsibly, to handle their needs, to respect and to value each other. All these aspects of social life are fundamental learning components.

In the bilingual class, native speaking teachers alternatively teach in their mother tongue (French or English), but the curriculum followed is always French.
